eLearning for frontline workers to understand and support inclusive tourism workplaces. FREE for a limited time

Navigating Inclusive Tourism Workplaces eLearning will encourage, support and strengthen tourism workers’ ability to foster inclusive, diverse, equitable, accessible, and leading (IDEAL) workplaces and provide meaningful employment experience for people with disabilities. Frontline tourism workers who complete the eLearning will be able to understand disability and accessibility inclusion in the workplace, identify potential barriers to inclusion including apparent and non-apparent disabilities as well as gender or sex-related considerations, and understand benefits of remote work opportunities. They will also be able to describe mental health, mental illness, and substance use disorders, describe tools to improve accommodations in the workplace, and help create IDEAL (Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, Accessible, and Leading) tourism workplaces. Navigating Inclusive Tourism Workplaces for Frontline Workers includes four modules:
  • Embarking on Inclusive Tourism
  • Building Inclusive Culture in Tourism Workplaces
  • Empowering Diverse Voices in Tourism Workplaces
  • Charting Paths to an Inclusive Tourism Future
The four modules include interactive and engaging lessons with real-world examples, tools and resources to apply to the workplace, a Learning Participation Guide, and checkpoints, scenarios and questions to test progress through the module. To be as accessible as possible, the modules contain various layouts—which can include a combination of text, images, graphics, and interactive buttons—and are accompanied by narration. This narration can also be accessed as a transcript. Upon completion of all modules, learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement. By purchasing this course, you consent to having your first and last name and email address shared with our partner Emerit (Tourism HR Canada). To learn more about Emerit, visit emerit.ca.
