Navigating Inclusive Tourism Workplaces eLearning will encourage, support and strengthen the ability of senior tourism leaders to foster inclusive, diverse, equitable, accessible, and leading (IDEAL) workplaces and provide meaningful employment experience for people with disabilities.
Senior tourism leaders who complete the eLearning will be able to understand disability and accessibility inclusion in the workplace, identify potential barriers to inclusion including apparent and non-apparent disabilities as well as gender or sex-related considerations, understand benefits of hiring and accommodating people with disabilities, and implement accessibility plans in the workplace. They will also be able to describe mental health, mental illness, and substance use disorders, describe tools to improve accommodations in the workplace, and develop leadership skills required to help create and inspire IDEAL (Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, Accessible, and Leading) tourism workplaces both in their organization and across the tourism sector.
Navigating Inclusive Tourism Workplaces for Senior Tourism Leaders includes four mandatory modules:
- Embarking on Inclusive Tourism
- Driving Workplace Accessibility Change as a Tourism Leader
